bienvenue antibeige d’azur!

17. Juni 2026

After years of travelling and collecting throughout Europe, we decided to relocate the gallery to one of the most beautiful places in Europe: Hyeres, Provence. Modernism took root very early on in this town, with the famous modernist Villa Noailles, built between 1923 and 1925. The south of France has long attracted artists: the light, the landscape – and the way of life, bien sûr: Van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse, Renoir and many many more.

Eileen Grey built her famous house E-1027 (1926-29) in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Le Corbusier invented the machine for living, the „Unité d’Habitation“ in Marseille (1946-52), Emile Sala caught the progressive spirit of 70’s living with his Villa Benkemoun near Arles (1974). And you’ll find great museums and collections here: the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Musée Leger in Biot, Musée Cocteau in Menton, Fondation Vasarely in Aix – and the Fondation Carmignac on the island of Porquerolles (just a few minutes from Hyeres). The aforementioned Villa Noailles hosts two festivals every year: The „Design Parade“ in June and the „Festival international de mode, de photographie et d’accessoires“ in September.

So, personally we feel deeply immersed in modern culture here. That feeling also inspires and transforms the collection and program of antibeige, so we invite you to discover a bit „d’azur“ now!
